I'm in the process of remodeling an old two-story loft-style warehouse with high ceilings, converting the upstairs to an apartment for myself as well a few other apartments for rent. The downstairs will be a retail establishment. I'd like for the upstairs apartments to have their own washer/dryer connections, but I really don't know how to accomplish venting the dryers. It would be best for me if the dryers were not vented directly to the exterior, but I don't know what the other options would be. I assume it would not be a good idea to vent upward, but I also want to minimize disruption to the downstairs retail space. Are there systems available for venting dryer exhaust over 100 feet or so?
