I am looking to build a small 2 story house with a daylight basement (around 650 square feet or so per level). I have searched through ten's of thousands of plans online as well as many houseplan books and magazines. The problem is that hardly anyone seems to have plans for a simple saltbox type house plan, a simple rectangular share, no weird multiple roof slopes. I really just need a simple to build no frills 2 story house. My leading contender for a plan right now you can see at

I would like to have a few more choices though. Does anyone know of a site that specializes in this type of simple two story houseplan? The main reason for the single roof pitch and the sideways pitch I perfer is due to the fact I can get up to eight feet of snow a year and don't want it all falling from the roof in front of my door. I will be using manufactured trusses too, so roof load for the plans is not really a big deal, as long as I can substitute manufactured trusses in the plan. Any thoughts or links?

If you have found some plans similar, you may just need to pay someone to modify them for you.
When you described your roof.. i thought of those 7th Day Adventist Churches. I think thats the ones! Not likely to find one for sale.
Good luck :)

I ended up finding a set of plans that met my specifications a couple years back and finished construction about 8 months ago. Here is my completed house. The exterior mostly followed the plans except for the addition of an attached 2 car garage. If anyone is interested in these plans I can see if I can find where I ordered them from.
