The dryer vent is the old beige plastic tube. My dryer is on the second floor and the tube runs down through the 1st floor wall (and is bracketted inside the wall) to the crawl space under the house. I need to replace the tube but the only option I've been given is to rip the wall apart to replace the tube. Any other options? Can I vent up to the attic and across to an eave?

You wouldn't be lucky enough for the dryer to be against the outside wall, would you? If so, how about just venting right out the 2nd story wall?

No such luck. Dryer is in an interior room.

OK, I figured that was the case but, you know, I just had to ask! :)
