I am going to build a cabin. I would love to do my own plans. I have some drafting experience but would love to use my computer to help me complete my plans. I have the plans of a friend who is building near me. I could "reference" his plans for some detail. Can anyone recommend a REASONABLY PRICED software program that would allow me to design my own cabin and produce my own blueprints? Something basic, nothing to fancy.

Just by the fact that you are building with logs, you kick it up a notch for basic ands simple. This is because typical walls are 4" or 6" nominally so that is all basic programs will have. Fro laog walls, you would need a min 8" dimensioning for wall thickness. This would nake a typical cheap palns program contain certain erors.
