Hello - I've just installed a chair rail and baseboards and now would like to install panel molding.
My question is this, the one wall is 145" and the other is 105." How do I calculate spacing between frames, the width of each frame and the space between the wall and the first frame?
If I'm being trivial, I apologize, this is a first for me.

- Panel Molding
A few rules and tips:
- Panels opposite each other shoulld be exactly the same size, an exact mirror image.
- Not all panels have to be the same size. Consider a large center panel (for a mirror or art) with smaller side panels
- Be consistent between panels. 3-6" depending on the size of the molding, etc. Use blue tape to get a nice proportion
- "Cheat" your numbers at door openings or windows. Where there is molding, you can cheat further away, where there is not molding, you can cheat closer.
- Odd numbers of panels are better than even
- start in the center and work your way out
Good luck! Wish I knew more and could be more helpful.
