I am moving into a condo that has pass-by doors attached to the bathtub; I'm wondering is there any way I can take off the doors? I want to use a shower curtain - not a big fan of the doors, but I wouldn't know how to take down the doors and what to do with the metal tracking left on the tub? Help!

First make sure of a couple things ---

That you are the owner of this unit and that condo rules allow you to make this change

And that you know how to use a shower curtain to keep the water inside the tub portion. Don't mean to insult you but there are hundreds of people who are ignorant of simple thing like that and ruin things for downstairs neighbors.

So - there should be just a few screws in the verticval portions of the frame attaching it to the side walls. to take the doors off, lift each and the bottom should swing out to you and then let it down and out of the top track

take the screws out and then the only thing left is to break the silicone caulk bonmd glueing and sealing the frame in place. I'd use a flexible putty knife.

After that you'll have some work to clean the caulk residue. That won't be too bad if this is a cast iron with porcelan finish, but if it is an acrilic tub, you wil have scratcjhes

Excellence is its own reward!
