I have planted 9 hostas in a row in my back yard. Something is eating them from underground! Five of the nine hostas are being pulled underground and eaten. ( I pulled up a leaf sticking out of the ground and saw teeth marks). What could it be? What can I do? My wife is spooked.

Are there 'mounds' and holes in the yard, perhaps from moles, gophers or voles? We had that problem a while back and purchased a doohickey that hooks a garden hose to the tailpipe of your car. You enjoy a 15-minute martini-break with your neighbors while they're being suffocated underground. Very satisfying!
Hey--generally I LOVE animals....so please no scathing comments. Just those underground rat-wannabies we can all live without....I'm on your side here!
Good luck, keep us posted on the hosta munchers.
