I recently discovered a large Momma skunk and several babies are living under an old shed at the back of my yard. They enter from the alley behind my property. They leave about dusk, sometimes with the babies and sometimes just the Momma. I don't want to kill them, especially while under the shed. I would toss a few moth balls under there and run like heck. the more the better. You may have to deal with that smell for a while, but it is better than skunk.

Mothballs, cayenne pepper and coyote urine are strictly wives tales. Skunks will dig multiple dens around their surrounding territories and may at one time use them all but generally will select only a few. The best recommendations for getting rid of skunks is having them professionally removed.
