I am adding a small addition to my home in the Puget Sound region of Washington. The existing foundation is 18" wide footing with 8" walls that are about 4 ft tall.

What is the best way to mate the new foundation wall and footings to the existing to maintain seismic integrity?

code requires (Pierce Co.) that you drill into the existing foundation and footing and epoxy steel in the holes to tie the foundations together
