I am wanting to put up a steel storage building from a kit. What kind of foundation to I need to have. The kit comes with a floor kit as well.

Are you getting into the storage rental business or is this a little old backyard storage building?

Foundations are sized according to the weight they must bear and the type of soils thay impact.

We'll need to know what state you are in too. The frostline is going to determine the depth of the footer.

The manufacturer of your storage building should have some specs to go along with your building regarding these matters.
