I am looking for some options in converting my garage into an additional room (dining room/retreat). I have a 2 car garage 22X22 but part of NC code is to have an angled floor for runoff so the floor is not level (4”). What are my options? I am either looking at building a wood platform or seeing if I can have concrete poured to level it off. Do I have any other options that I am not looking at? The home has a slab foundation.

There are companies that install radiant heating systems in floors. They add tubing coiled around the floor and hot water circulates through it. They use a real runny version of concrete that is self leveling to cover the tubing and absorb and transfer the heat.

Find a contractor who does these floor heating systems and have them leave the tubing out.
