Floating slab

We are currently in the process of building a garage and a breezeway, and would like to attach it to our home. Is there any easy, affordable way to connect a floating slab to our existing foundation (basement)?

I was going to do the same thing at our house and was told that in my climate (the northeast) that the frost may move the slab slightly, so hitching it to the house was not an option. also your house ins. will rise greatly with an attached garage.

DStone1 is correct in that you cannot attached a garage on a floating slab to a house without the garage havng proper footings below frost level.
