I am replacing a bunch (all) of baseboards in my home. Most of the outside corners are rounded. I understand making a small piece w/ 22.5 degree cuts to go around the corner, but where I'm stumped is how to measure the length of the long pieces - or is it just trial and error? There must be a good trick for doing this quickly.

Can you send some pics of exactly how these corners are rounded? If so I probably have an easier way to go.....MJH

Instead of a standard corner bead on the drywall, a 5/8" radius corner bead was used. I've come up with a way to do it, but it does involve a lot of trial and error. Any tips would still be appreciated (I'm only about 1/3 done.)

Perhaps a simple jig or your tri-square?

Mock up a corner and you should find that the trim ends in the same place...

Lets say 7/8 back from the corner... you'll cut your 22's the same then use the tri-square or a quick jig with a 90 & the 22 on the corner out of ply?
