Do WireTracks work well?

Hi,

I am attempting to put a home theater in my basement and have been trying to figure out how to run the wiring from the front of the room to the back of the room. The basement is on concrete, so I obviously can't go underneath. The carpet is pretty low stuff, so I can't go under that either.

A friend of mine recently recommended using WireTracks (www.wiretracks.com). Is this a good solution? Are there other solutions that are better?

That looks nice, but I don't know how much they cost. A very affordable option is Wiremold(plastic) available at HD or ***** . You can also try Hubbell wire tract, available at Graybar electrical stores if you have one of them in your area. Hope this helps.

I too am installing home theater buy my walls are still roughed in. Do you have any specks as to where the wire should be run for the two fronts and the two backs and the subwoofer. Also do you have access to the ceiling such as drop in pannels? If so you can try to fish wires up to top plate and run wires on top of ceiling pannels and fish down to desired locations. Hope this helps
