Check out RainTube at http://www.raintube.com. I had them installed all around my house and they are GREAT! It fits into your current gutters and keeps the leaves and junk out of your gutters while letting the rain pass through and down and out your downspouts. The site has were you can locate your nearby installer. The installer in the Dallas Texas area is "Call Claudette" which did an excellent job.

I just installed Leaf Relief about a week ago in the early stages of fall. After about 10 days and 3 storms, I have no overflows and leaves have blown off themselves. So far, so good.

By the way, I found this thread extremely helpful in my extensive research into what I feel will solve my gutter problems.

Looks like the wind blew every single leaf off the lawn too!

that first pic was just after install. I have visibility of my problem areas from the slope in my yard. So far, just a few leaves here and there. I'd have to get on the roof again to take up close pics. I can see just a few acorn bits from the side where my oak tree is. No interference with water flow though.

Wow this post is still running, i had posted in the past but since them had leaf filter installed on my gutters with no problems at all, i think that all systems are good but some are better then others. i needed something that blocked pine and none of the covers were going to do it for me. i do not work for them or care to. i think that some of the guys that rave on other products work for this so called gutter company. please don't mistake home owners as stupid. i have looked into gutter protection for 2 years before buying the leaf filter. many hrs spent on line.

You don't have to wonder about me... I definitely work for one of those so called gutter companies. In fact, I own one called Elko Products (www. elkoproducts.com) and it's my mission to tell the truth about this silly market.

Everything clogs. Everything fails. There is no fool-proof system. Don't spend a penny more than necessary, and install something that is easy to maintain, and easy to clean when it does clog.

Gutters run about $2.50 to $4.00 per foot. How much should it cost to cover them?

I too researched for about a year. I had the PVC guards (purchased at Lowes)with the roll & slits that let in one wasp nest that I know of and oak strings, and maple helicopters. I went with Leaf Relief to avoid these issues. Nearly 1 month and many storms & leaves later, still good. I'll report back in the spring and see how performance is with the oak & maple "stuff"

Out of curiosity, what was your installed price per foot for Leaf Relief? It wholesales for around $2.60 per foot, so with labor, I'm curious as to what the price was.
