Hello,

I've found the crown molding I want to use. I can get it either MDF (which comes pre-primed) or pine. I am going to paint it white. The MDF is about half the price. It seems too good to be true. Is MDF an acceptable product? Or should I use pine? Thanks.

Use the MDF as long as it isn't in your bathroom. I've used the pre-primed stuff and really like it. It's easy to work with and not having to prime it is obviously a bonus.

Not great stuff to use where there is a lot of moisture- which is why I said to lay off of it in the bathroom.
