Recessed lights for first floor kitchen..precautions?

I am remodeling my house and am working on the kitchen at the moment which is located on the first floor, obviously. While I have seen recessed lights on the first floor, what precautions did I need to take? I have 2x10 joists and plan on using IC fixtures but is there anything else I need to do? Everything I read is related to recessed lights with the upper part in attics, etc.

Just make sure that it is fluorscent type recessed lights to be per up to code, etc.

There isn't really any precautions when you are remodeling your kitchen lighting. However I would caution to make sure your wiring is neatly done and there is no live wires. Where are you getting your low voltage lighting from?
