my only advice is get a good bit like a CMT. I bought some cheaper bits and they runed much wood, when I went to the better bit I couldn't beleve the smother cut and the difference. I also kind of like the wood worker warehouse bits, not great not a CMT but does the job ok.

Only you (significant other) can answer that question. The final look is a personal decision.
