Mitre Saw Woes

I have a fairly cheap 10" mitre saw that I just use for weekend warrior kind of stuff. Lately when I try and cut a small piece of molding or other wood it just grabs hold of it and mangles it and throws it across the shop almost taking me out with it. Is it doing because of a dull blade or should I just get a better saw? Thanks.

Dull blade, careful they can come off of that a decent speed.. next time pick up a thin kerf 60 to 80 tooth ATB (Alternate top bevel grind) with a 10 deg. of hook angle. That's the best I've found for miter saw blades.

he's right...you need to replace your blade...if your doing trimwork i'd recommend a 60 or 80 tooth Freud Diable blade...its about the best you can get for your home workshop
