Motor mount casting for Craftsman 100 Table Saw
I just bought a Craftsman 100 table saw with a broken motor mount casting. Can anyone provide information on where one of these can be found?
If you can't find the part, try taking the pieces to a local welder. Perhaps it can be welded back together.
Joed,
I thought of that. It is what we used to cal pot metal and I'm not sure if it can be welded. Worth checking though.

You can do like I did when the mount for mine broke, I took a peice of 1/4" steel and cut it to fit behind the mound and bolted the broken peices back together. Works fine now.
Hi,
Sounds like you are fighting the problem that I am. My problem is that I don't have the mountand don't know what it looks like.
Any chance of getting a
picture? "Interesting that we think everyone has a digital camera these days"
Thanks Jack

What is the model number from your table saw? I may be interested in a part or two. I just need to pull up the diagram of your saw from the $ears site and compare it with my saw.

can you tell what the saw number or motor number is? I am desperately seeking a new motor for my saw and the motor I need is discontinued with no replacement in sight.
The saw is like an old friend and i hate to see it go. If your motor won't work, maybe you got an email from someone who could help.
thanks a ton and thanks for being the kind of person who would post an offer like you did.
