A year ago I installed wainscoating on my bedroom ceiling. The wainscoating is now buckling and and coming apart at the seams. It is to the point where I am going to have to take it down and re-install it.

Before installing the wainscoating I left it in the bedroom for a few weeks to let the wood adjust to the room temperature. I also primed it on both sides before installing it. It is nailed to 1"x2"'s that were mounted on the ceiling.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong before I go and repeat the same mistake.

Be sure to let the panels float if they are glued or fastened it will buckle the joints, and that it REALLY IS connected to the ceiling
