Can anyone recommend the most accurate tool/equipment to check for rebar in concrete? I know about the pricey ones used, but I thought maybe one of the more affordable ones out there might be accurate and more suitable for homeowners. Thank you!

Thank you for the response. We have decided this is too much for us to do. We now have a structural engineer on board and should have an architect first of week. Our worse fears confirmed. . .contractor changed plans to save on lumber/materials and we are in a mess because of it. Thanks anyway.
