Self Propelled ***** Mower needs lubed

I have a 22" self-propelled ***** Craftsman. The drive box has never been lubricated, and I don't know how to do it.

The box has a small (1/8") access hole closed by a plastic plug. ***** site shows the parts list includes Shell Darina grease. I got the mower used, so I don't have the manual. It is a model 917 372251.

What do I do to get the grease in there?

Hi I believe I need to add lube too, but maybe more. Gradually my front drive wheels stopped rotating. Yhe drive lever, cable, belt and pulley all seem to be operating, but no action to the wheels. Should I tear off the gear box and inspect and how. Any advice or manuals out there?
