Hi,
I'm in the market for a new cordless drill. I was looking for info and found this site - and these forums, what a resource!
Anyhow, I can't seem to find a cordless drill that's made in the USA. I've looked everywhere and I thought I'd find at least one, but no dice. Even Milwaukee makes their cordless drills abroad.
Have I missed any? Isn't there a single cordless drill made in the USA anymore?

Believe it or not, I have a couple of Makita drill-drivers that were made in USA. These are a couple of years old so I can't say for certain about current models.
Needless to say, the "innards" are another story altogether....even if products are assembled here.

Fortunately or not, depending on the product almost nothing is truly American anymore. The global economy has made it not cost effective to produce solely in one country anymore. With the tariffs imposed on American exports it was necessary for domestic companies to import/export parts and/or labor.
With that said, Just look for a good quality drill like Dewalt,Bosch,or Porter Cable.
