I'm looking for parts for an old Craftsman saber saw, model 315.27722. I tried *****.com, but they no longer have the parts available for purchase.

I purchased the saw in 1967 and I need two new drive gears.

Anyone have any ideas, or a saw with a burned out motor that they would part with for parts?

Thanks.

I have that saw with the kit box. The saw has a bad speed selector board on it.

Thanks for the reply Carl.

Are you willijng to let your saw go for parts? If so what would you want for it?

In the process of rebuilding this saw the two gears fell out and I'd like to know if either of you can describe how these gears work together - that is, how they are timed? Also, the top reciprocating slider slides freely verse the bottom slider which is pined to the reciprocating shaft - is this the way it is suppose to be?

thanks

Thanks for the info. I long ago gave up on finding a gear set and got a new saw.
