I have seen this a couple of times on TOH and Hometime.

If you go to their web pages and can find the shows that it was on then look at the resources pages. It might be on those or it might be only reference the countertop company.

Hometime usually has shown solidsurface CT from Tom Pensky (sp?) He is both a fabricator for SS CT, but also developes tools for fabrication and sells them.

Check his web site. He might be a seller for it and if not you can email him.

But I have noticed that later shows that they are back to making templates. So it appears that they aren't using it anymore.

The two largest manufacturers are PhotoTop and E-Template. They use a series of targets placed on the cabinets and walls along with a special digital camera to take pictures of the kitchen. All dots or targets must be in two photos for the software to figure out dimensions and angles. It's done by triangulation similar to GPS systems, only on a much smaller scale.
