I need a manual!! My father left this to me and I would like to learn how to use it. I have many parts, wood chisels, etc. I would lik to put it together. I may sell it if the task is too much for me. It is not mounted on a table. Any suggestions?

Most lathes are fairly generic and parts and accessories are interchangable.

And the manual won't tell you much about HOW to turn.

Here are two wood working forums with a a foldesr specifically on turning.

http://www.woodcentral.com/

http://www.sawmillcreek.org/

They can give you lots of advice include recommend some turning books and videos.

Might even put you in contact with a local turner.
