I make functional pottery such as bowls, mugs, plates, etc. I fire my ware using an electric kiln and a wood fire/salt kiln. I am looking for some sort of table top grinder that I can use to remove glaze drips from the bottom of pots, and possibly something that I can use to just smooth the bottom surface of the pottery. In the past I have used pieces of kiln shelves with valve grinding compound and a drill with a woven metal disc attached (which is tricky if it isn't clamped to a table). Would a wet grinder work better?
