Sorry this is longwinded. I own three Bammer cms200s that I use in my fireworks business, and needless to say I am out of fuel cells. I tried to refill some and failed miserably. Don't bother trying this unless you can pull a vacuum on the cell before trying to fill it. The Utube video is useless he can only get a couple of grams of propane in the cell because the pessure of the gas in the cell is equal to the liquid propane pressure in the propane bottle.

I removed the rgulator from one of my bammers, adapted a regulator to a propane bottle. If i set the regulator on the propane bottle to 16PSI and feed the Bammer with a 5/32 OD polyurethane tube the bammer fires perfectly. I put a belt clip on the propane bottle so I can keep it handy. I know this is a lot of work but it saved me from throwing away 3 bammers.

The issue of pulling a vacuum on the empty fuel cell before trying to fill it makes a lot of sense & explains my cold fingers. I would love to see the specifics as to how you adapted a propane bottle and regulator to your bammer(S). I have 2 of them I would like to be able to continue using. Porter Cable uses Mapp gas. I did get propane to work but after 15 or so firings it stopped and would not work even with a non reloaded cell. I suspect it somehow got moisture in the chamber and itwould not spark. I let it dry out for a day and it started working.

The trick to loading is to heat the empty in hot water and use the tool to evacuate all the gas then freeze empty in the freezer. The process causes a vacuum in the empty.

I held the mapp gas bottle and the empty against my chest and rocked it allowing some gas to escape as the liquid entered the empty. This process does work.

Am I the only one who is ****ed of at PC for discontinuing support? They need to step-up and make this right. Allow third parties the right to mfg.the patented cells or exchange the nailer for one that is supported.
