After two years in my new old home, we decide to redo the basement into living space. We removed wall coverings to discover a bowing and cracked block wall. The first row of blocks are fine the second row of blocks are one inch in. I have had many estimates on different ways to repair. They were high in the price range for I can do alot of the work myself. People have told me I don't need to dig out the walls, that I can replace 8'sections at a time. This does not sound safe. Any safe suggestions or other ways to do this projects ourselves?
