I just filled four 12" x 50" holes for deck footings, and I'm concerned that my batches may have been slightly dry.

I used premixed 80lb bags of regular Quikrete, and each time I started with the recommended amount of water and then sprayed the mix lightly with a hose until all particles were wet and workable.

The last batch was slightly wet, and that footing is smoother on the sides than the others.

Am I being paranoid, or could there be strength issues with these footings? I've kept them covered with plastic and wet for five days.
