I have a 110 year old home with brick foudation walls. I have noticed considerable flaking and deterioration of the bricks in some areas amd the start of it in others.I was told to either coat the areas with portland cement or seal the bricks with a quality sealer.what are your recommendations? Please recommend a sealer if that suggestion is valid.

PS I am referring to the inner course of brick in the basement. Please help, Thanks
