any suggestions on painting my fireplace...its a dark brick with limestone mantle/hearth. i've seen all brick fireplaces painted, but never one with limestone on it. i can't imaging painted limestone would look good. it is smoothe on top, but the front edge is rough cut. is removing the limestone the only solution?
