Five days ago my furnace oil tank released furnace oil over my concrete basement floor (about an 8 by 8 square foot area). It still smells extremely bad throughout the whole house. What can I use to clean up the oil that’s been soaked up by the concrete? Can I seal the concrete with something to trap 100% of the odors inside? What else can I do? Thanks, Ernest

One thing that works well with oil stains on concrete is Tide Laundry detergent. I have used it on my garage floor and it cuts right through oil stains. just pour it straight on the oil stain, and broom it in with some hot water.
