Hello! I have long been a reader of your forum, and have always been able to find an answer to my questions by searching. This time, however, I am at a loss!

Driving by some new home construction, I noticed a brushed (broomed?) mortar (?) finish over the face of the brick. The look was very similar to broomed concrete, only you could see the brick outline through it. I need to know what it is called and if it can be applied over 10 yr old brick exterior.Thanks for having these forums, the are very helpful for the DIYer!
