Hello, I am about to put in a new hardwood floor and upon removal of the old floor I notice the previous owner glued it to the concrete with a TAR glue. It doesn't sand off and I debat chisling it out of fear I would damabe the concrete floor under. Any suggestions, I need the concrete surface as level as possible for the putting in the hardwood floor.

thank you in advance,

Mike
