I have a 40 year old house, guessing about an 8-12 pitch on the roof, with a flat roof that covers a rear porch. I am seeing water dripping around the underside of the porch that butts up to the chimney. It takes a substantial amount of water for it to leak, and when it does you can see the efforvescense marks on the brick after it dries. I have recently had the flat roof replaced, and the chimney tuckpointed, and had the chimmney re-flashed on the pitched roof, but still cannot determine where the water is leaking from, any suggestions.
thanks

- Determining leak from roof of brick around chimney
You may get a better answer to your question if you try posting a few photos showing some detail of the chimney flashing and roof.
