I need some advice on my chimney repair. My chimney stack on the roof has the "fake" 1/2" thick style bricks that are falling apart, due to moisture, and exposing the chimney structure. I had a quote to basically rip down all the fake brick and repair any wood or structure damage behind the old brick, then rebuild the outside with my existing vinyl siding. This would include the chimney rain cap. The quote was $2800-$3200. Is this reasonable or not???? Thanks!
