We just bought a house from a family with animals. The carpets are badly stained with, what I am guessing is, urine. We want to pull up the carpets and stain the concrete but how is that going to effect the process? Will the precleaning step take care of the urine areas? Will the acid react with the amonia in the urine?

Also, what do you recommend for the longest wear? We also have dogs and high traffic areas and want something that will hold up for a few years.
