My husband and I have just purchased 162 acre farm and home that was built in the 30's. I need suggestions on where to begin researching to learn about restoring it. Can anyone help? My husband and I are rookies but excited about the challenge. Thanks, from Texas

I vaguely remember seeing a episode of "This Old House" when the home owners started with a visit to the town's building inspector's office. The office had a copy of the original blueprint of the house the show was trying to restore. Maybe you'll get lucky too.
