I'm putting in a master bath in our house where the plan calls for a tub and 4' shower to be against each other. (The shower is in a corner, and the tub is along the wall next to it.) My delima is that I would like glass in the shower on the two open walls. However, where the tub is up against the shower, that won't work.

Does anyone know of a shower base/enclosure that is about 2' tall that would allow me to tile on the two back walls, and put glass on the other two?

Or would I be better off purchasing a 4' base and making my own 2' wall between the tub/shower?

Thanks

I did some searching and found that what I'm looking for is a 'buttress' wall. Once I found that out, I found a ton of photos on the internet. Looks like there's two options: Buy a 4' pre-made shower base, or tile my own shower floor. I'm game to try the later, but I don't know where to start!

Thanks

Had that same dilema myself, but found the glass to bee TOOO expensive, so I rearranged the tub and shower and was able to have my shower and jucuzzi that I wanted without a huge expense. I put in a 38" shower base, tiled the walls and installed a corner entry door set, and for the tub installed a corner unit that is 55" x 55" and that left me about 6 " of space between the tub and shower. I would show what it looks like, but dont have a site to upload the pics to.

That's interesting. Could you e-mail a photo to me at [email protected]?

Thanks

Sent you some before I got it all put together. If I remember, I'll get some more this weekend with the doors installed.
