Have a rather small home with a straight kitchen opening to dining room area opening to living room area opening to lanai w/vinyl windows.

We rarely use the dining room and would like to use this space to make the living room larger perhaps with a bar area in the dining room space.

However, there are doorways on both sides of the dining room which go into the bedrooms on either side.

Everyone with this type home has the dining room set up next to the eat on kitchen counter with a couch and loveseat in the living room area.

How can I set up a bar and make the living room larger considering the doorways?
