I need your help? I need to cover (3) 1/2" water pipes that are 25" off the floor and are in plain sight. We tried to camoflauge them with faux painting, but still stick out like a sore thumb. I cannot have anything stick out further than about 2" from wall they are mounted to. I'm thinking a chair rail type decor but.....??

- Need ideas for covering plumming on wall
Welcome GJACpres,
It's certainly nothing unusual to have a cover-up of some sort for something ugly in a home.
You're right, faux painting probably wouldn't do much--unless you (perhaps) painted the entire wall to look like 1/2" water pipes. OK, bad idea.
You may be on the right track with the chair rail idea. Some sort of cover up like that could be pretty elegant, especially if you built it in with something in mind. Perhaps some storage nooks/crannies built in front of it? Use your imagination.
I've also seen access panels; really not much more than a box that fits into a frame that can easily be lifted up. Or something along those lines.
You might try putting a picture of it on a web site and linking it here; sometimes it gets good dialog going (no guarantees, of course!)
Good luck; hopefully your solution will end up in Better Homes and Gardens!
