My husband and I recently purchased a small 1929 brick home in St. Louis. We are in the process of rehabbing it. Several contractors have referred to the home as a “Bungalow” house while others say it is an "Old Style" house. What is the difference or definition of Bungalow and Old Style?

You could google bungalo and architechtural style. That would give you a lot of references.
I doubt that you would find many refs to old style as an official style of house. They are just saying that they are ignorant of architectural nameclature and saying, "yep, that there is old, not modern..."
