After installing new carpeting, my blinds on my sliding door drag. I hate the thought of having to raise the brackets. Is there anything I can use to cut a half inch off the bottom of the blinds that would leave a smooth edge. Thanks.

I have a commercial grade (like you see in schools) paper cutter I use. Any tool will work, then you can take a cheap emery board, or emery cloth or fine grit sand paper to smooth out the edges.

Obviously you remove each "slat" from the rail before you cut it. Trim from the bottom edge.

Hope this helps.
