I have a dilemma. Our home was built in 1899. We want to re-do the livingroom. There's lots of wood(red oak)and two sets of pocket doors, plus a fireplace with a wood mantle with shelves on each side and mirror in the middle. We'd like to lighten things up. We're wondering how it would look if we painted all the woodwork . . . if so, what color . . . creme?
