I was wondering how I might turn logs, for example small rounds about 2 ft. tall by 1 ft. wide, into usable planks of wood using consumer grade tools... I have plenty of different tools in my shop and was wondering how one might go about this task.

Here's a list of tools I currently have to work with to try and accomplish this task, Band Saw, Table Saw, Miter Saw, Router, Circular Saw, and Recipricating Saw. Not sure if there is a better tool for the job then what I already have.

I would like to use these small pieces of wood for simple boxes and drawers.
