I have problems with my Tappan Fabulous 400 which has been in my house since before I moved here in 1986. We still use it everyday, but we've had some recent problems with parts of it, and I really, really would love to have a schematic for it to shorten my troubleshooting time.

Is there a schematic in the owner's manual? If so, is there any way you could e-mail or snail-mail me a copy of it? I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Brent, I still have my owner's manual; about the only thing it has as far as scematics is the labeled view- if you want I can send that.

If you pull the oven out from the wall and gain access to the screws that hold the top cover on, you will find the same schematic under the white metal plate.

My Mom has this range. I like it a lot, but it needs repair and parts.

We need the inner glass for the large oven. It shattered. Outer glass is fine.

I got over zealous with the natural oven cleaner which must have dripped down into the burner drawer and shorted out the wiring. There is a plastic part that is fried, also. There were SPARKS! I haven't used it since.

I have someone coming for repair appointment tomorrow morning, but I can just hear them: too old, no way to get parts...

Retrogirl, I have tried calling a repairman for my parents oven, same model as yours. You are correct, he took a look at it and said it's too old, took the money and ran.

If your interested in replacing it, I would be interested in buying it from you.

Which model of Fabulous 400 do you have? Check the metal plate inside the left oven door frame. It should be two letters followed by three numbers.
