I would like to make a patio underneath our deck by using paving stones as an alternative to concrete. The area is now mostly dirt and weeds and is fairly uneven. There is also a window that will eventually become a patio door. What is the correct way to lay the paving stones, and what should go underneath how do I make the ground level. How close can the paving stones be to the house. Is this a cheaper alternative to hiring someone to pour concrete. Please be very specific as I really have no idea what I am doing. The area is aproximately 6 by 16ft Thanks Jackie
