I just bought a new retractable awning with a manual crank for my back patio.

My house is concrete block with stucco. Are there any special concerns I should think of when installing it? Or can I just pick a spot and go to town. Especially given the occasional windy conditions in South Florida, I want to make sure I have it attached well in case it is out and it gets breeezy before somebody gets home to retract it.
